The Horner Park Advisory Council wants your input! We’re holding a meeting to discuss a proposal for a new synthetic infield at Diamonds #7 & #8 on the east side of Horner Park.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, August 23 from 7-8:30 pm in the Banquet Hall of the Horner Park field house.
The proposed solution intends to improve playing conditions and to provide extended year-round use of the diamonds for all park users. In addition to a new turf infield, new dugouts, bleachers, backstops, improved drainage, and a natural bioswale are proposed.
The Horner Park Advisory Council (HPAC) will gather community input at this meeting to advise the Chicago Park District on a decision about the project.
