We close our 22nd Season of Free shows at Ravenswood Manor Park with a return to our roots. Rokko Jans will once again host The Neighborhood Talent Show on Friday, August 19, starting at 7. If you would like to participate, please call 773-612-7887 and learn how you too can be a star!
Alaric “Rokko” Jans is an award-winning composer whose music has appeared on Broadway, in films, and in venues around the world. Currently a resident of northern Michigan, Rokko was a Ravenswood Manor resident for three decades and is a Concert Series regular; you may know him through his many performances in Chicago or the thirty scores he has written for the Tony Award-winning Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Our final theater show in the Summer Concert Series, presented by Theatre Hikes, is the Pulitzer Prize winning drama, “Driving Miss Daisy“. Set in the backdrop of the early days of the civil rights movement, we get a glimpse of how 2 people’s lives intertwine. Despite the protests, activism and fear in the world around them, they find common ground. See it at 1 PM on Saturday, August 20.

And once again, Jazz in Sunken Gardens closes our 22nd Season with the return of the Will Barnard Quartet on August 20, starting at 7.
Will Barnard Quartet is a 4 piece band of who met while at Indiana University. They focus on a combination of jazz songs and original compositions.
