On Friday, June 28 we were treated to one fine set before the foul weather stole the show by east coast-based poet-troubadour Jeffrey Foucault accompanied by Milwaukee-based singer-songwriter Hayward Williams.
Hailing from rural Wisconsin, this Badger Balladeer has received nationwide accolades for his rare power to mine the darker seams of country and blues in spare but elemental style that sings from behind the American veil.
Thanks to our 33rd Ward Alderman Richard Mell for the evening’s generous sponsorship.
The Manor Marathon continued on Saturday, June 29 at 5 PM with the return of old friends Spectralia Theatre performing their rousing rendition of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors.
And if that weren’t enough, we doubled your pleasure with a sublime afternoon recital by students from Narloch Piano Studio on Sunday, June 30, at 3 PM.
To close the Marathon, Spectralia Theatre returned at 5 PM for another free staging of The Comedy of Errors.
Saturday and Sunday shows were brought to you by funds from neighbors like you, donated to support the Horner Park Advisory Council Summer Concert Series initiative.
