Jacob Park Community Workday

Jacob Park Community Workday

Friday, Sept. 27, 2-6pm
Jacob Park, 4674 N. Virginia, Chicago, IL

Calling all neighbors! Volunteers needed!

Friends of Jacob Park, the Chicago Park District, Friends of the Parks, and the Horner Park Advisory Council are looking for 35 adult volunteers to help spread the new “Fibar” wood chips and celebrate the opening of the new playground.

Come on out to Jacob Park this Friday afternoon starting at 2pm to lend a hand putting finishing touches on our great new playground installation from Chicago Plays!

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, but there will be activities for younger supporters of Jacob Park as well.  Volunteers should dress appropriately with closed-toe shoes (sneaker or boots) as they will be working with wheel barrels, rakes and the like.  If they have work goggles please encourage them to bring with them.  Friends of the Parks will be on site to assist with the work day as well as provide gloves, water and encouragement for the volunteers.

For more information, visit the Friends of Jacob Park Facebook site at www.facebook.com/groups/jacobpark/.

No RSVP necessary – just come on out and show your support for Jacob Park!
