Events scheduled include snow shoe racing and cross country skiing, weather permitting. McFedridge’s ice rink will be holding the skating events. Also, on December 6th Horner Park will be hosting the CPD North Region Deaf and Hard of Hearing Christmas party. The recent Northside Parents Network open house was well attended. Attendance figures show well over 1,000 attended the preschool area and over 400 people for the high school area. The final CPD budget meeting open to the public will be held on December 12th.

Council Business: The CPD budget will cut Horner Park’s Special Program Fund by $ 15,803. This may effect such events as the Pumpkin Patch and ManorBash. Otherwise the budget appears not to effect any of the on going programs at Horner Park. Terry Sweeney was pleasantly surprised and looks forward to supplying the great programs that we have come to expect at Horner Park. The council determined that a January meeting is not needed and that we will reconvene on February 4, 2004.

Ravenswood Manor Park: Snow fences have been installed along Manor avenue to protect the recently installed planters. The RMIA has put up the holiday decorations at the park. Some graffiti was noticed on the kiosk. Terry volunteered to paint over it. The council is hopeful that a new kiosk can be installed in the spring.

Buffalo Park: The park sign has been recently run over by a car. Terry Sweeney was able to save the sign but the posts will need to be redone. This will be worked on in the spring.
