The Horner Park Advisory Council, along with the Chicago Park District announces its 22nd Season of free summer concerts in three parks this summer.
Join us on Friday, June 10 at 7 PM in Ravenswood Manor Park for the exciting R&B of Expo ’76. On June 24 The Old Town School serenades with their Irish and Folk Ensembles. On July 8 we will feature the nationally-known Spektral String Quartet to pique your classical interest. Then check out the Second Annual HornerFest on Saturday, July 16 for kids events in the afternoon, and the Salsa Chicago Mambo All-stars and a movie that night! Rolling Stones tribute band Hot Rocks sears Manor Park on July 22, followed by the return of Generation on August 5. We round out the Manor Park Season on August 19 with Rokko and the Neighborhood Talent Show, back by popular demand! Come back to Sunken Gardens Park to close the season with the classic jazz of Will Barnard. And speckled through the summer are all-family shows by Theatre Hikes in Horner: The Jungle Book; The Iliad, The Odyssey and all the Greek Myths; and Driving Miss Daisy.
Get to know your neighbors and see the children fascinated by live entertainment! Come out this summer for fun and fellowship in the parks.
The Concert Series can be supported by a tax-deductible donation. Contributions of any amount are accepted. Gifts of $20, $30 or more will help us present a full season of fun-filled entertainment and free live music all summer long. Subscribe before May 10, and your name will appear in the series program.
